This is my Reelworks Haunted Manor Cake that I made for, Artisan Crafts' Spooky Crafts Contest. But I also shared this cake with my film friends at Reelworks at their Halloween party, which they seem to adored.
I used the "Big Cupcake" Mold again for the shape of the cake. The top half of the cake was made out of chocolate chip cookie, the bottom half was chocolate cake, and the middle had cherry filling so the cake looked like it had brains or was bleeding.
The Black Widow Spider, Bat, Jack O Lanter, Mini Pumpkins, the eyes and door with fangs of the house, and the Tombstones that read "R.I.P. VCR(Videocassette Recorder)" and "In Loving Memory VHS (Video Home System)" are all made out of Odense Marzipan Candy Dough.
I used Marshmellows for my ghost, Gummy Worms popping out of the house, Swiss Rolls for the graves, Candy Corn for the gate of the house and the base of the cake which is the soil/graveyard is made out of brownie.
I also tried to give the cake a kind of Tim Burton style, because I really love his artistic flare.
I give some credit to deviant [link] for giving me the idea for the brownie soil and candy corn fence.
AN: I would love comments, especially people who favorite my stuff. Please let me know what you love or like about my stuff so I know what to keep doing or not.
I really like it, and the description in the artists comment is really helpful for knowing how you got it too look so cool. :3 A lot of people upload amazing cakes but don't describe how they did it.
Thanks a lot for that. I know what you mean, it gets on my nerves when they do that too. I like to describe the process a lot. I feel like you guys will like it more if I do. Again thanks a lot.
